  Maybe it's just not the kind of food I'm used to. But I had beef shins just to try something different. But it was just a deepfried panko ball with a slimy interior. I figured maybe it tastes better then it looks but i could only eat two of them before my stomach started turning. I asked for fries but the server didn't state that they were potato wedges. I tried there homemade ketchup but it didn't seem like it was tomato at all. More like a plum and wasn't the greatest. Onto there $40+ single beef rib plate.. really? I understand it's smoked for so many hours and apparently it's locally sourced but the price for what you get is a little rediculous. Now onto the whine bottle incident. Apparently it's the house rules not to drink out of a whine bottle but apparently it's ok to drink out of a beer bottle? when does the size or contents of a bottle dictate a glass? Especially when you've bought the bottle and drank it all before leaving? It took them 3 hint glasses on the table to finally muster up the nerve to actually say that it wasn't allowed. Oh well. Service was ok and I guess the added games are a plus while drinking or eating but just wasn't up to my expectations.

  Great place, tons of beer options and the food is great. If you like good food and craft beer this is the place to go.

  Just had the Pulled Pork, Cheddar and Bacon hamburger and everything was cooked to perfection and very delicious. Not to mention the Chips and Aioli were an awesome side dish and couldn't be beat. The service was very quick, very friendly and the restaurant was very clean. I'm not from the Thunder Bay area but if I'm ever within a 50km radius again, I will definitely be paying another visit to this unbeatable restaurant. Thanks for the great experience, Red Lion Smokehouse!
